About Anya
Anya is a rare of combination of gifts and experience in strategic planning and project management with training and experience in healing work. Her passion for exercise and movement started in junior high school, when she discovered her love for muscles, running and strength training. Anya enjoyed body-building for years and competed in a figure competition in 2006.
Anya has experienced injury, pain, inflammation and compromised physical function and discovered Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) as a healing tool. She has spent many years studying nutrition, the body’s response to stress and trauma, patterns of emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and how they relate to dis-ease within the body. Her fitness interest now focuses on exercises that promote healthy, integrated movement and an enhanced overall sense of wholeness in body, soul, and spirit.
In addition to teaching YBR group classes and working individually with clients to regain wellness, Anya leads workshops and retreats that focus on physical and spiritual healing, leads healing prayer teams, teaches college business courses, and offers strategic and business planning services on a consultative basis.
Anya holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Psychology, a Master’s Degree of Business Administration, is certified in Yamuna Body Rolling, Yamuna Foot Fitness, Yamuna Breath Work, True Movement, and is a leader/facilitator with the True Body Project, a project that combines mindful movement with feeling- centered exercises as a treatment for traumatic stress www.truebodyproject.org. She received an award for the CityBeat Best of Cincinnati 2014.
